'Man Utd Star Should Leave Old Trafford'

'Manchester United Star Should Leave Old Trafford'

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes a certain England international should leave Manchester United in order to fulfil his potential.

Pogba: Why I Didn't Have Crazy Haircuts During World Cup

Red Devils star Marcus Rashford has scored two goals in his country's past two games, but at club level, he often finds himself on the bench or starting out of position under Jose Mourinho.

Carragher feels the 20-year-old star needs to consider leaving Old Trafford if he is to become the player everyone expects.

"I don't see Rashford ever displacing Lukaku so long as he is there, but Lukaku was at Chelsea and he had to come away from there and go to Everton," the former Three Lions defender said, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

"He (Lukaku) ended up top scorer and then got his move to Manchester United. Everton is a club where someone like a Rashford knows he can play every week.

"Last season, he played poorly against Brighton, Mourinho had a pop at him and Lukaku went straight back in the next game. That is the problem he will always have."

Reports: Barca Linked With Two Shock Full-Backs

Rashford made 52 appearances for United last season, scoring 13 goals and assisting a further nine strikes.

I beg to differ from Jamie Carragher. Yes the boy is not playing as much football as he may be playing but what's the use of going to a team that hardly wins any silverware? Rashford must just stay put and play whenever he is given a chance.

I said this before, Mourinho is a BIG problem at Man U. Quality players are under-performing under him. Pogba, Martial, Rashford, Lukaku, Sanchez, Lingaard, Fellani, Shaw, De Gea to name a few. As long as he is still Man U manager, none of these players will perform. It will be on and offs. No consistency at all.
