Manchester United Star Set For Showdown Talks With Jose Mourinho
A Manchester United star is reportedly ready to have showdown talks with manager Jose Mourinho after he was dropped once again.
According to The Sun, Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan wants to have a meeting with the Portuguese tactician to seek assurances about his place in the squad.
The 28-year-old, who began the season on fire, has not featured for the Red Devils since their 1-0 win over Brighton in November, and also missed the club's 2-1 loss to arch-rivals Manchester City last Sunday.
Mourinho recently stated that Mkhitaryan was merely rested after playing numerous games at the start of the season.
Many feel Mkhitaryan's form apparently began to suffer when Paul Pogba sustained an injury a couple of months back, and it seems to have caused him to get on the wrong side of Mourinho again.
The former Borussia Dortmund star has not reached his peak since joining the Old Trafford side, but will be hoping he can find some form before the former Chelsea boss loses patience with him altogether.
The attacking midfielder has made 17 appearances for the Red Devils so far this season, scoring two goals and assisting a further six strikes.
Do you think Mkhitaryan’s futures at Manchester United is in doubt? Have your say in the comments section below.
