A Manchester United star, who has often been linked with Real Madrid over the years, is reportedly demanding a new mega deal worth £350 000 a week.
It was reported a short while ago that goalkeeper David de Gea was disappointed with a recent contract offer from the Red Devils.
It is believed that United failed to offer the Spain international a deal he was happy with, with The Sun claiming he wants about £350 000 (R6.8 million) a week to commit his future to the club.
The two highest earners at the club, Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba, earn a similar wage to what De Gea is asking for.
United are reportedly playing hardball due to Real ending their interest in De Gea, following their signing of Belgium international Thibaut Courtois.
The Spaniard apparently feels he is one of the most important players at the Old Trafford club, especially having won United's Players' Player of the Year award for the past three years.
The 27-year-old has made 318 appearances for United since his arrival at the club in 2011, keeping 119 clean sheets along the way.
