Manchester United's David De Gea Reveals How He Feels About Jose Mourinho
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, who has once again been linked with a switch to Real Madrid, has revealed what he thinks of his manager, Jose Mourinho.
The Spanish goalkeeper has reportedly been chased by Los Blancos since 2015, the year he almost joined the Madrid club in the August transfer window.
Many feel De Gea might be tempted to leave the Red Devils for Real in the coming window, although he has now spoken highly of his Portuguese boss.
"We've got a great manager," he told United's official website.
"He's very experienced, he's won everything there is to win in the game.
"What he is really good at is transmitting his winning mentality to the group."
The 27-year-old also touched on the great season he has had, and was asked whether or not he thinks it has been his best yet.
"Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with my performance. It's been a fairly complete, all round set of performances from me," he added.
"I've felt good, felt fit and in good form physically throughout the season. Let's hope that these last few games to go before the end of the season continue the form, then leading into the World Cup, which is an important time for Spain. "
De Gea was named in the PFA's 2017/18 Team of the Year, and was also nominated for the Player of the Year award.
The Spain international has kept 21 clean sheets in 42 games for United so far this season.
