Manchester United Linked With Shock Midfielder?

Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on a midfielder currently playing his football in Spain's second division.

Former Man Utd Boss: Things Would've Been Different With These Two Stars

According to Spanish outlet Grada 3, Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff are interested in Cadiz star Alvaro Garcia's services.

The 24-year-old (the player in yellow and blue in the picture above) is a creative midfielder who is said to possess excellent technical ability and composure when in possession of the ball.

The Spaniard played for Granada and Racing Santander earlier in his career, and is said to have a release clause of only €8 million (R128 million).

Garcia, who can also play on the left wing, will see his buyout clause increase to €15 million (R240 million) should his current side win promotion to Spanish football's top flight this season.

The report stated that the midfielder has caught the attention of other Premier League clubs too, but no names were given.

Mourinho's Top 10 Rejects

According to Grada 3, Mourinho has spent €334.6 million (R5.37 billion) on reinforcements since his arrival at Old Trafford in May 2016.

Do you think the former Chelsea boss should be spending money on players who aren't playing top-flight football? Have your say in the comments section below.
