A Manchester United legend has bravely admitted that he wanted to join Arsenal when his time with the Red Devils came to an end.
Former United defender Rio Ferdinand was extremely active on Twitter on Monday, and when one fan sarcastically suggested he should have played for Arsenal due to his injury record, the Englishman stunned fans with his response.
Ferdinand revealed that he once attempted to make contact with Arsene Wenger over a possible move, and when he was criticised for his admission, he insisted this happened only after his contract with the Red Devils had expired.
Ferdinand represented United on 451 occasions, and won 17 trophies with the club, including six Premier League titles.
