According to the Daily Mail, the former FC Barcelona coach is interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara and Paris Saint-Germain starlet Kylian Mbappe.
Of the two players named, Mbappe, who is on loan at the French giants, is probably the bigger surprise as he is expected to make his stay in Paris permanent for a reported figure of €180 million (R2.68 billion) ahead of the next campaign.
The Citizens are said to be keeping a close eye on the forward's situation in the French capital, though, as the Ligue 1 champions are apparently being investigated by UEFA to see if they have breached any Financial Fair Play rules, and if found guilty, they may have to let Mbappe go.
Former Blaugrana star Alcantara is believed to be interested in reuniting with his former mentor, and could be a direct replacement for the ageing David Silva in the coming years.
The Spaniard has a contract at Bayern until 2021, and was part of the team that reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals last week.
