Spanish right-back Pedro Porro joined the Citizens from Girona in 2019, but is yet to make a single senior appearance for the club, having been sent out on loan twice since.
Ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, the defender signed for Real Valladolid on a season-long loan deal, and then joined Sporting Lisbon on a two-year loan deal last year.
Speaking in a recent interview, Porro suggested that he could soon make a permanent exit from the Etihad, and also claimed that Guardiola has never said a single word to him.
"I've never talked to Pep Guardiola," he told A Bola.
"I don't think he even knows they (City) hired me. But they must be aware of what I've been doing.
"I can't say anything, what I can tell you is that (this) week there could be something big."
Porro impressed in his debut campaign with Sporting last season, contributing to six goals in 37 matches from defence.
The 21-year-old has already played for Spain, having made his first senior appearance for La Furia Roja in a 2-1 win over Georgia in March this year.
