Manchester City Legend Yaya Toure Reveals His Toughest Opponent
Manchester City legend Yaya Toure has named the toughest opponent he has faced during his eight-year spell in the Premier League so far.
The 34-year-old Ivorian, who has been linked with a move to Everton and Huddersfield Town, has won three league titles with the Citizens since joining them in 2010 from Spanish giants FC Barcelona.
The African star has now admitted that the toughest player he has come up against in the Premier League so far is Manchester United's Nemanja Matic.
"I hate him, this b******!" Toure joked, as quoted by FourFourTwo.
"He is such a difficult player to play against. Tall and strong as well. It has been fun to play against him, even though it is difficult. He is powerful, and he is tall.
"To be able to find an opponent to play against me and stop me... there's few of them, but Matic was one of the close ones who was able to give me problems.
"He can run. He can fall back. He can track. He can fight. He is a good, good player."
Toure has made 315 appearances for City so far, scoring 79 goals and assisting a further 50 strikes.
