The Citizens have reportedly been chasing Napoli star Jorginho's signature, and are now said to be in advanced talks with the 26-year-old.
The Premier League champions have been keeping close tabs on the Italy international, who was born in Brazil but accepted a call-up to the Azzurri in 2016.
As per Sky Sports, Jorginho's agent recently admitted that Napoli are in talks with City, saying that if the two teams can come to an agreement, the player will sign for the club.
The midfielder has two years left on his current contract in Italy, but may leave if the EPL side fork out £44 million (R731 million) to secure his services.

Jorginho joined Napoli in 2014 and has gone on to represent the club on 160 occasions, scoring six goals and assisting a further 14 strikes.
