Manchester City Back In For Riyad Mahrez?
Premier League champions Manchester City have reportedly renewed their interest in Leicester City and Algeria winger Riyad Mahrez after failing to sign him in the previous transfer window.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Citizens want to add an established playmaker to their title-winning squad for the upcoming season.
The English side saw a £60 million (R1.01 billion) bid for the African superstar get turned down four months ago, but apparently think they could get their man once the season is over.
The Algerian has handed in numerous transfer requests at his club in recent months, and it is no believed that the Foxes will allow him to leave should the right bid come in for him.
Citizens boss Pep Guardiola, who has a wide array of attacking options at his disposal, apparently feels he needs one more winger in his squad, somebody who could be alternated with Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane.
Mahrez, 27, has made 37 appearances for Leicester so far this season, scoring 11 goals and assisting a further 11 strikes.
