With Sadio Mane having reportedly decided to leave Liverpool in the coming transfer window, the club has responded to his wish with two important conditions.
Benzema Breaks Silence On Mbappe Snubbing Real
Ahead of the UEFA Champions League final at the weekend, the Senegalese superstar teased a big announcement when he said he would confirm his future after the game.
On Sunday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Mane has decided he will be departing the Reds, with Bayern Munich reportedly favourites to land his signature.
According to Goal, however, the losing European finalists have outlined two conditions that would need to be met for his sale to be sanctioned, and have communicated them to the 30-year-old.
It is said that Liverpool will only sell Mane for more than the £25 million (R491 million) price tag that has been suggested by reports, and only if the English club already has a replacement lined up.
The African forward has just a year remaining on his deal in England and appears unlikely to sign a new contract, perhaps because the 2021/22 Carabao Cup and FA Cup winners are also negotiating a new deal with Mohamed Salah.
This could mean that Liverpool will be unable to offer both attackers bumper new contracts, particularly with Salah reportedly demanding a big salary increase.
Since joining the Reds in 2016 from Southampton, Mane has scored 120 goals in 269 matches and assisted a further 48 strikes, while he has also claimed every possible club trophy available.
