The Reds confirmed on Thursday that the German tactician and his coaching staff all put pen to paper on deals that will see them remain on the Merseyside club's touchline until 2026.

Speaking about his extension, Klopp said his wife planted the seed in his head when she asked him if they would really be leaving Liverpool at the end of his previous deal, which had just two years left.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund manager was believed to then initiate talks with the club, with a quadruple still possible for the Anfield-based side, who have already claimed this season's Carabao Cup and are competing on all other fronts.

Plenty of focus will now be on how Klopp and his technical team continue to build Liverpool, with rumours suggesting the boss is desperate to have the futures of African superstars Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane resolved soon.

More contract renewals could be on the table for several first-team stars, but how will the manager ensure Liverpool remains among the most feared teams in the world in terms of their recruitment strategy?

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Reds have already snapped up talented Portuguese youngster Fabio Carvalho from Fulham and will announce his permanent arrival at the end of the season.

The 19-year-old playmaker has contributed to 17 goals in 36 matches for the Cottagers so far in this campaign, and will join Liverpool as a free agent, although a compensation fee will reportedly be paid to Fulham.

Reports also suggest that Benfica striker Darwin Nunez is on the club's radar, with Belgium striker Divock Origi likely to depart Anfield as a free agent in June when his deal expires.

While the 22-year-old is being chased by a number of top sides, Liverpool might be one of the more attractive options for him, and Benfica are said to want about £66 million (R1.3 billion) for his signature

Lastly, it is claimed Klopp could reinforce his midfield with the signing of Monaco and France star Aurelien Tchouameni, who is also of interest to Real Madrid and Manchester United.
