The Reds announced the departures of Marko Grujic and Taiwo Awoniyi earlier this week, with the two fringe players following Georginio Wijnaldum out the exit door ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
More stars are expected to be let go as part of a clearout, according to the Liverpool Echo, with Switzerland international Xherdan Shaqiri among five players who have been tipped for a move away from the club.
The 29-year-old appeared to be in top form for his country at the 2020 UEFA European Championship, where he contributed to four goals in five games, although he has not featured regularly for the Reds since his arrival from Stoke City in 2018.
In the three years since, the former Bayern Munich and Inter Milan winger has made just 63 appearances across all competitions for the Merseysiders, contributing to only 17 goals.
It is reported that defender Nathaniel Phillips could also be sold in a bid for the 2019/20 Premier League champions to raise funds, along with striker Divock Origi, whose playing time was cut severely short in the previous campaign.
