A former Liverpool star believes there is no better footballer in the world than Mohamed Salah right now.

The Egyptian has enjoyed a fine start to the season after bagging eight goals in eight appearances for the Reds so far.

Salah has scored more goals than both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo who are both at different clubs this campaign and Dean Saunders claims the Reds forward is unstoppable right now.

“Right now, as we speak, who is better than him?," Saunders told TalkSPORT.

“Eight goals in eight games from the right wing, he’s not playing down the middle. He just looks unstoppable. There’s Messi and Ronaldo, who are on their own.

“But right now they’re not as good as Salah. [Ronaldo or Salah?] Right now, Salah.

“It’s easy to say Ronaldo, but right now Salah looks like he’s going to score every week.”
