A midfielder in the Spanish top flight would reportedly be willing to join Jose Mourinho's Manchester United next season if they come calling.
Several Atletico Madrid players were linked with moves away from the club in the previous transfer window, but after the Rojiblancos' transfer ban was upheld by FIFA, their top stars decided to stay.
Frenchman Antoine Griezmann was one of the players expected to leave for United, but according to The Sun, Saul Niguez is now being linked with a transfer to Old Trafford.
It has been claimed that Mourinho is a big admirer of the 22-year-old, who would reportedly be open to a move to the Red Devils.
However, United's biggest obstacle in any potential deal for the player would be reaching an agreement with Atletico as Niguez signed a nine-year deal with the club in July.
Saul's contract expires in 2026, which is believed to include a release clause of £133 million (R2.5 million).
Since the player's first team debut five years ago, Saul has played 164 games for Atletico, scoring 23 goals and assisting a further 11 strikes.
