The Reds maintained top spot on Wednesday after thrashing the Hornets 5-0 at Anfield, with Sadio Mane playing a starring role.
Club captain Jordan Henderson was left on the bench for the encounter, and Klopp reveals the player wasn't happy.
“They accept it. I don’t think they are happy,” Klopp said when asked about Henderson being dropped, according to the Mirror.
“Hendo played a lot of games this season then for a while had had an injury here and there – but he has played a really good season.
“I told him (he wasn't playing). He looked like he was not happy, but completely OK. I don't normally tell the players before the game they will not play.
“But because of the false stories about my reaction after the United game, I thought it made to sense to tell him it has nothing to do with - because it was nothing.”
