Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will reportedly sign a £45 million (R833 million) star, who is unhappy at his current club, in January.
According to the Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur will allow England left back Danny Rose to join the Red Devils in the upcoming transfer window.
The defender was critical of his club's transfer policy in recent times, which upset Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and some board members.
The 27-year-old has seemingly lost his place in the starting line-up to Wales international Ben Davis, and this situation has apparently seen the player push for an exit.
It has been claimed that Pochettino is happy to sell Rose next month, but wants make sure he has a replacement lined up beforehand.
Mourinho has been following the defender's situation closely, and is the favourite to land him should he offer Spurs their asking price.
The Portuguese tactician could also use out-of-favour United left back Luke Shaw as a bargaining tool to secure Rose's signature in the coming weeks.
