Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho has claimed that four “key decisions” cost his team two points in their draw against Burnley on Saturday.
The Portuguese took a swipe at referee Martin Atkinson after the controversial 1-1 draw, but refused to elaborate on his points.
“I think there are four moments where you can write the story of the game,” Mourinho told Sky Sports. “Minutes 30, 33, 43 and 69 – the game had four moments, but do not ask me more questions, as I will not answer because I do not want to be punished.”
The former Real Madrid coach continued by saying that he was surprised that his team didn’t lose, before answering questions about whether he would appeal Nemanja Matic’s red card.
“I have nothing more to say, I am sorry,” he added. “I am surprised we did not lose all three points.”
“Have you ever seen Chelsea win an appeal? I do not remember.”
Chelsea’s lead at the top of the Premier League is now down to five points.
