Following the Saudi-backed takeover of the Magpies, many experienced and high-profile tacticians have been linked with the managerial post at St James' Park, with Mourinho among a long list of potential candidates.
On Wednesday, it was announced by the club that head coach Steve Bruce had been relieved of his duties by mutual consent as the new board ramps up its search for a new first-team boss.
Mourinho, though, has now insisted he has no interest in the job given that he has a three-year contract in Italy.
"No. Absolutely not," he told Sky Italy.
"I signed for three years and nothing can make me leave these lads."
Roma are currently fourth in the Serie A table with 15 points after eight matches, having won five games and lost three times.
Above Mourinho's side are Inter Milan on 17 points, AC Milan on 22 points, and Napoli on 24 points after having claimed eight consecutive league victories.
