With superstar Gareth Bale being heavily linked with a return to the Premier League, Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho was asked if he would like the Real Madrid man at Tottenham Hotspur.
The 30-year-old has long been linked with a move away from Los Blancos, although where he would be interested in going to next remains unclear.
The Welshman was close to a move to China earlier this year, but ended up staying with the 13-time UEFA Champions League winners for the first half of the 2019/20 season.
Considering his rocky relationship with boss Zinedine Zidane, the club and its supporters, Bale still appears to be leaning towards an exit from the Spanish giants, with Spurs being reported as a potential destination of late.
The winger spent six years with the Lilywhites before joining Real in 2013, winning the PFA Players' Player of the Year awards in the 2010/11 and 2012/13 seasons along the way.
Mourinho, who reportedly wanted to sign Bale for Manchester United, was asked if he would be interested in bringing the player back to north London, but the 56-year-old refused to be drawn into the speculation.
"Come on, I don't need to answer," he said, according to HITC.
Bale played 203 matches for Spurs between 2007 and 2013, scoring 56 goals and assisting a further 58 strikes.
