Anthony Martial's second-half strike was enough to hand the Red Devils a slim win at Turf Moor.

However, Mourinho reserved special praise for striker Romelu Lukaku, who bagged the assist for Martial's goal.

"It’s really difficult to play against them," Mourinho said, according to the Mirror.

"That (the assist) is amazing from Lukaku but sometimes people look at strikers and just analyse goals and that’s not fair because he is a team player and the quality, vision, pass today for the goal was fantastic.

"We know that when we can put him (Anthony Martial) in the 1 v 1 with a full back its difficult for the full back because he has so many attributes.

"One more reason to happy with Romelu because he knew if he put Anthony in that position it would be difficult for the right back.

"We had chances and we were desperate to kill the game. We had to defend in a very good way.

"Jones and Smalling were giants but the team were very good and Fellaini was fundamental in this so big thanks to him. People coming from the bench come to help."
