Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has praised a player believed to still be on the Red Devils' radar for his most recent performance at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic was in fantastic form for Croatia in their 2-1 win over England in their semi-final clash on Wednesday, during which he scored a goal and provided the assist for the extra-time winner.
Mourinho, who has shown interest in the player before, has since praised the attacker for his performance against the Three Lions, saying he is not a typical winger.
"Perisic is the kind of winger that is different to the others," the Portuguese tactician told Russia Today.
"Normally, you look at wingers and they are just fast and creative. But he is also physical, very physical. Fantastic in the air.
"So the way he wins that ball in the air (for Mandzukic's goal) and puts the ball into that space is only possible if you are very, very physical and dominant over defenders.
"So he was amazing by going there and winning that ball in the air."
The 29-year-old has once again been linked with United in this window, although Inter have fought hard in the past to keep him in Italy.
Perisic has scored twice and set up one goal in six appearances at the World Cup in Russia so far, and is expected to play against France in the final on Sunday.
