Former Chelsea and Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has given his thoughts on Belgian superstar Eden Hazard's potential move to LaLiga giants Real Madrid.
The 28-year-old joined the London club from Ligue 1 outfit Lille for a reported fee of £32 million (R567 million) in 2012, and has since gone on to cement his place as the team's attacking talisman, with Blues coach Maurizio Sarri also labelling him the best player in Europe.
Many believe that Hazard, who has often been the subject of reported interest from Los Blancos over the past few years, could finally make the move to Spain's top flight at the end of the season, with Real having reportedly made the Belgium international their primary transfer target for the next window.
Mourinho, who has coached both Chelsea and Real in the past, has now backed the attacker to make his mark at the 20-time UEFA Champions League winners should the move transpire.
"Regarding Eden's ambitions… be it playing for Chelsea his whole life or playing for a giant like Real Madrid, I can't say, because I haven't spoken to him for a long time," the Portuguese tactician said, according to the Evening Standard.
"[But] talking of talent... Does he have the talent to play for Real Madrid? He does.
"Does he have the personality to wear a shirt that weighs so heavy and to play in front of a crowd like the Bernabeu? Yes, he does."
Since making his debut for Chelsea, Hazard has registered 335 appearances across all competitions, finding the back of the net on 104 occasions and being on hand to assist a further 85 goals along the way.
