Former Manchester United midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba is of the opinion that Liverpool veteran James Milner has similar qualities to five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 2004 FA Cup winner, who enjoyed spells with both players at the Red Devils and later on at Aston Villa believed that Ronaldo and Milner are obsessed with their physical fitness and conditioning on and off the field.
"He (Ronaldo) would get to the training ground before everyone. He was always in the gym, the swimming pool, running after training. He went to the gym every day, doing abs every time," the former Cameroonian international said, as per talkSPORT.
"He practiced his free-kicks every day. He was in the gym every day. He was mad!
"He was always obsessed with improving. Even when he was at home he was working to improve. Even at home, he would focus on eating nice and healthy food.
"James (Milner) was actually just like Cristiano (Ronaldo); he was just working every day. Working, working, and then working some more.
"He had a similar thought process and lifestyle to Ronaldo, where he was 100 percent dedicated to football," the 39-year old added.
While Milner is off the back of winning his third English Premier League with Liverpool, Ronaldo is still on course to win his second Serie A title with Juventus, which would be his seventh career league championship across England, Spain, and Italy.
