There were 28 goals scored in the 10 fixtures of gameweek four, and the standout results were Manchester City's 5-0 thumping of Liverpool, Arsenal's comfortable 3-0 win at home to Bournemouth, Tottenham Hotspurs beating Everton 3-0 and Manchester United's 2-2 draw with a gutsy Stoke City.

Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United, Tottenham and Stoke lead the way when it comes to representation in the team – all have two players each, one being Cameroon star Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, while Watford, Manchester City and Burnley have one representative each.

This team of the week was compiled by statistics website WhoScored.com, who use their own algorithms and data to come up with their unique scoring system out of 10.

Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland was standout No. 1, with a rating of 7.8 despite conceding two goals against the Red Devils.

In defence are Burnley's Matthew Lowton (rating: 7.8), Brighton's Shane Duffy (rating: 8.2) and Newcastle duo Jamaal Lascelles (rating: 8.8) and Jesus Gamez (rating: 7.7).

Kevin De Bruyne's two assists saw him receive a rating of 8.9, enough to see the Belgian make this week's midfield, along with Watford's Andre Carrillo (rating: 8.1), Brighton's Pascal Gross (rating: 9.3) and Spurs' Ben Davies (rating: 8.2).
