A Manchester City star has claimed that he is yet to get over the trauma of his latest injury, and admitted he is still playing with fear.

Guardiola Slams Players For Poor Display

Brazil international Gabriel Jesus, who has missed a large chunk of the second half of the season due to knee ligament damage, returned to action with the Citizens' first team this week for the first time since New Year's Day.

Although fit again, Gabriel has revealed that he is still cautious when he plays and is afraid he will pick up a knock once again.

"When you are in the game, without wanting it, you end up thinking about the previous game where you got injured; you have a bit of fear," Jesus told ESPN.

"But, as you are playing more and more, you are going to get that fear away and play your football.

"I think I still played with some fear. There are some movements when I still have some worries about getting injured again.

"I know anything can happen, but I'm sure that the more you play, the quicker that fear is going to go away."

11 Stars With The Most UCL Appearances

The 20-year-old has made 31 appearances for Pep Guardiola's side so far this season, scoring 11 goals and assisting a further four strikes.
