Former Manchester United superstar Eric Cantona has revealed that he does not regret his infamous kung fu kick at Selhurst Park back in 1995.
The Frenchman was banned form football for nine months after kicking Crystal Palace supporter Matthew Simmons during a Premier League clash.
During a recent Q&A session in Manchester, the former Red Devils captain was asked if he regretted the incident.
"I've said before, I should have kicked him harder but maybe tomorrow I'll say something else," Cantona said, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.
"I cannot regret it. It was a great feeling. I learned from it – I think he (Simmons) learned too.
"Nine months was a long time out and I struggled for a time, but thanks to Ferguson we won the double with a new generation."
The incident had many people talking for months on end, and the player was eventually sold by manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Cantona made 168 appearances for United, scoring 75 goals.
