Ronaldo will be returning to Old trafford after 12 years as United and Juventus agreed to a deal reportedly worth €25million.
The Red Devils have already brought in Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and they join an attack that already includes Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Edinson Cavani, Mason Greenwood and Daniel James.
Rashford is currently out injured while Ronaldo is only expected to make his return after the international break, but there has been talk that five-time Ballon d'Or winner could be deployed as a number nine rather than a left winger.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also bolstered his defence with the signing of World Cup-winning defender Raphael Varane who is yet to make his debut for the club following his move from Real Madrid.
With Rashford injured and Martial struggling early, Solskjaer could go with Ronaldo up top while Greenwood and Sancho occupy the flanks.
In defence, Victor Lindelof currently partners captain Harry Maguire but the Swede is expected to be dropped for the former Los Blancos defender.
United face Wolverhampton Wanders on Sunday, but only Varane and Sancho could feature from the new signings as they look to get back to winning ways.
