Brazil international Willian has been one of Frank Lampard's standout players since the season's restart, scoring four goals and registering two assists in his past eight EPL appearances.
However, the Blues have already strengthened their attacking options with the signings of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, and the creative winger is said to be looking elsewhere for regular game time.
According to ESPN, the 31-year-old – whose current contract expires at the end of this campaign and with no extension on the cards after talks between the winger and the club broke down – has been keenly pursued by Chelsea's London rivals Arsenal, who are optimistic about sealing his signature.

In a recent interview, he told the Daily Express he and his representatives were unable to agree terms on a new deal with the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League winners.
"I already had a conversation with the club a few months ago, even before this break," Willian told the publication.
"Chelsea only offered me two years and I asked for three. My goal in the next contract is to sign for three years, so I haven't had a deal with Chelsea yet.
"This is what I asked the club for, three years of contract. If you give me that, I'll get the pen and sign the contract tomorrow.
"There are rumours about several teams that may be interested."
