The Welsh winger is in the final year of his contract at Los Blancos but he was a regular at the start of the season before he picked up an injury.
However, a surprise report from Densa Central, cited by The Sun, claims that Arsenal are looking to bring Bale to back to North London and are prepared to offer Alexandre Lacazette in exchange.
Bale spent last season on loan at the Gunners' rivals Tottenham Hotspur after falling out of favour with Zinedine Zidane and he went on to registere 16 goals in 34 appearances.
Lacazette, meanwhile, is in the same position as his Welsh counterpart as his contract with the North London outfit expires at the end of the season and it remains to be seen if he will extend.
The reports does add that the alleged offer was already rejected by the Spanish giants, as Los Blancos are no longer interested in a move for Lacazette despite the past links.
