A former Premier League and LaLiga star, who also turned out for Juventus, has been hospitalised after being shot at outside his home in Greece.

On Wednesday, reports emerged from England that former Sheffield Wednesday, Real Sociedad and Juve striker Darko Kovacevic had been shot at during an attempted ambush.
The Daily Mirror reports that the former Serbia international was attacked by two individuals as he went to park his car.
Kovacevic was reportedly able to avoid being struck by any bullets, but had to be taken to hospital after suffering knee and wrist injuries while attempting to evade his attackers.

His assailants then fled the scene, and the getaway vehicle was found burnt out near to the scene of the incident in Glyfada, Athens.
"I saw a man getting out of a car with a gun in his hand and coming towards me," Kovacevic told local press.

No arrests have been made thus far, and the motive for the attack remains unclear at this stage.
