Guardiola could be back in for West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans, who he tried to lure to the Etihad at the beginning of the campaign, according to the Daily Mail,.
The Spaniard is also said to be considering a move for Southampton left back Ryan Bertrand due to the long-term injury sustained by Benjamin Mendy. The French fullback is set to return from his ACL injury in April only, forcing Guardiola use Fabian Delph, a central midfielder, in the 23-year-old's position.
Real Sociedad's Inigo Martinez is another defender on the manager's reported wish list, as are another two left backs in Augsburg's Philipp Max and Espanyol's Aaron Martin.
The Citizens are currently 15 points clear at the top of the Premier League after 20 matches.
