Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side played out a 1-1 draw with West Ham United at Old Trafford this week, which secured Premier League survival for the visitors.
The Red Devils, meanwhile, climbed to third place, level on points with Chelsea, who lost 5-3 to champions Liverpool on the same night.
Both teams are on 63 points, followed by Leicester, who have 62 points after losing 3-0 to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
With Leicester and United facing each other in a direct clash in their final game of the season, all three contestants for the final two top four spots have their fate in their own hands.
Each of the three teams would secure qualification with a win in their final match this weekend, with Chelsea set to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are in a battle with Spurs for sixth position.
The Blues, though, only need a point against Wolves, no matter what the result is between United and Leicester, to book their 2020/21 UCL ticket. The Red Devils would also be certain to stay inside the top four with a draw of their own against the Foxes.
For Leicester, a draw would only be enough if Chelsea lose to Wolves because Brendan Rodgers' side would then draw level Frank Lampard's team on 63 points, but have the better goal difference.
If United lose, they would need to hope that Chelsea also lose in order to stay ahead of them.
