With Erling Haaland reportedly agreeing a move to Manchester City, the salary he will earn in the Premier League appears to have been revealed.
Report: Haaland's Future Decided
It was reported on Monday by various sources that Norway international Haaland is edging closer to being announced as a City player ahead of next season.
Since his switch from RB Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund in 2020, the striker has shot to prominence with an incredible record of 85 goals and 23 assists in 88 matches across all club competitions.
Haaland, it seems, will lead the line for the current Premier League leaders under Spanish tactician Pep Guardiola, whose attempts to sign Harry Kane in August 2021 were foiled, with City thus playing most of this season without a recognised centre-forward in the starting XI.
With the Norwegian now likely to be that man for the Citizens in the 2022/23 campaign, his future wages in England have now seemingly been revealed by the Daily Mirror.
According to the publication, Haaland, whose father represented City as a player, will earn £400 000 (R7.9 million) a week at the club, which would put him on par with playmaker Kevin De Bruyne and ahead of club-record signing Jack Grealish.
The 21-year-old has reportedly agreed to a five-year deal, and informed Real Madrid, who had also been chasing his signature, of his decision to move to Manchester last week, before City informed Dortmund they would be triggering his release clause.
It is further claimed that Haaland passed a medical ahead of his transfer on Monday, and that the player is keen for the move to be made public as soon as possible.
