Alex Iwobi and Alexis Sanchez were among the goals for Arsenal, as they defeated 10-man Hull City 4-1 at the KCOM Stadium.
After a slow start, the Gunners eventually broke the deadlock in the 17th minute when Alex Iwobi volleyed home from close range.
Arsenal should have doubled their advantage after 28 minutes but Jakupovic produced a stunning save to deny Mesut OZil, before Iwobi fired over from the rebound.
The visitors were then awarded a penalty in the 40th minute, as Francis Coquelin's shot was handled by Jake Livermore, who was shown a straight red card.
Alexis Sanchez stepped up to take the spot-kick, but had his effort saved by Jakupovic, as the score remained 1-0.
Arsenal eventually doubled their lead 10 minutes into the second half, as Theo Walcott played a neat one-two with Iwobi, before lobbing the ball over Jakupovic.
Hull were awarded a penalty in the 78th minute when substitute Mbokani was brought down by Petr Cech. Robert Snodgrass stepped up made no mistake from the spot, 2-1.
However, Arsenal restored their two-goal lead in the 83rd minute, as Sanchez eliminated one challenge before rifling the ball into the top corner.
Granit Xhaka rounded off the scoring in stoppage time with a superb long range effort, as the Gunners rise up to second spot in the Premier League table.
