Palace Pile More Misery On Leicester
Leicester City 1-4 Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace moved six points clear of the relegation zone after thrashing Leicester City 4-1 on Saturday evening at King Power Stadium.
Michy Batshuayi broke the deadlock for Palace five minutes before the break and Jonny Evans found the equaliser for the Foxes in the 64th minute.
However, the visitors restored their lead 20 minutes before time thanks to Wilfried Zaha and Luka Milivojevic, and the former completed the rout and his brace in stoppage time.
Bournemouth 1-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Joshua King was a hero and villain for Bournemouth as they played to a 1-1 stalemate with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
King opened the scoring for the Cherries in the 14th minute from the penalty spot before Raul Jimenez levelled matters for Wolves with a penalty of his own seven minutes before time.
In a remarkable turn of events, Bournemouth were awarded another penalty five minutes before time, but King guided his effort wide from 12-yards and the hosts settled for a point in the end.
Newcastle United 2-0 Huddersfield Town
Newcastle United moved four points clear of the relegation zone with a morale-boosting 2-0 win over ten-man Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon at St James’ Park.
The Terriers were on the back foot from early in the game after Tommy Smith was red carded for a dangerous tackle in the 20th minute.
Te Magpies took advantage of the extra space as they broke the deadlock a minute after the break through Salomon Rondon, while Ayoze Perez sealed the three points for Rafael Benitez’s charges minutes later.
