English Premier League

Teams: Chelsea v Mancheser City

Date: 30 September 2017

Venue: Stamford Bridge

Premier League champions Chelsea host Pep Guardiola's Manchester City at Stamford Bridge this evening.

The match is scheduled to get underway at 18h30.

The Blues were in a ruthless mood in the last round of league matches as they thumped Stoke City 5-0 with Alvaro Morata grabbing a hat-trick.

Antonio Conte's charges come into the match on the back of a 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday evening.

City, meanwhile, maintained their unbeaten start to the league season with a 5-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace.

The Citizens were also involved in Champions League action this week as they beat Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Manchester outfit will be without Sergio Aguero and Benjamin Mendy, who both face lengthy spells on the sidelines.

Here's how they line up:

Chelsea: Courtois; Cahill, Christensen, Rudiger; Azpilicueta, Kanté, Bakayoko, Fàbregas, Alonso; Hazard; Morata.

Man City: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Sterling, De Bruyne, Delph, Sané, Silva (C), Fernandinho, Otamendi, Jesus.

Chelsea were made to look like an average club in their own back yard. For a moment I thought it was Huddersfield or Brighton playing(lol). Well, they would be greatful for the 1-0 defeat as it was not a true reflection of City's dominance. I think 3 or 4 goals were going to do justice for City's incredible performance.

Pep's team is a formidable force in the premier league this season (and in Europe also). They're up there at the top with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, PSG, etc and they'll prove it in the Champions league.
