English Premier League
Teams: Arsenal v Manchester United
Venue: Emirates Stadium
Date: 02 December 2017
An age-old Premier League rivalry resumes at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday with Arsenal looking to capitalise on their newfound resurgence and visitors Manchester United desperately trying to keep pace with runaway leaders Manchester City.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 19h30.
Since losing 3-1 to Pep Guardiola’s side, the Gunners have won their last three league games against Tottenham, Burnley and Huddersfield.
Arsenal ripped the Terriers to shreds in a midweek 5-0 drubbing — with Olivier Giroud bagging a brace and Mesut Özil, Alexandre Lacazette and Alexis Sánchez each netting.
United also won a high-scoring midweek clash, with Jesse Lingard and Ashley Young starring in their 4-2 win over Watford.
Nemanja Matić was forced off early in the second half by a muscular injury, but he has recovered and is named in the line-up.
The Red Devils have been plagued by injuries throughout the season, with Mourinho having only just welcomed back Paul Pogba, Marcos Rojo and Zlatan Ibrahimović.
Nevertheless, even with both sides struggling in that department, the match promises to be an enthralling one. Only four points separate the teams ahead of kick-off and any result could be a defining one for the season ahead.
Here's how they line up:
Arsenal: Cech, Koscielny, Mustafi, Monreal, Bellerin, Ramsey, Xhaka, Kolasinac, Ozil, Sanchez, Lacazette.
Man Utd: De Gea, Lindelof, Smalling, Rojo, Valencia, Pogba, Matic, Young, Lingard, Martial, Lukaku.
