Liverpool edged closer to securing Champions League football, after they thrashed West Ham United 4-0 on Sunday afternoon.
It was Liverpool who threatened early on as an un-marked Joe Matip sent his header against the crossbar after 10 minutes.
The Hammers started seeing more of the ball after 20 minutes and looked threatening with Andre Ayew and Manuel Lanzini, but they were restricted to efforts from distance.
The Reds eventually broke the deadlock on 34 minutes when Daniel Sturridge latched onto a fine pass from Coutinho, before rounding Adrian and slotting into an empty net.
Ayew squandered a glorious chance to bring West Ham level after 43 minutes but he struck the upright from point-blank range in quick succession.
However, the Reds doubled their lead 10 minutes into the second half when Coutinho fired home a low effort from the edge of the box.
Coutinho then got his second and Liverpool's third in the 60th minute, as he cut inside before smashing the ball past Adrian from close range.
The Reds' fourth goal arrived 15 minutes later when Georginio Wijnaldum's shot deflected into the path of Divock Origi, who slotted into an empty net.
Jurgen Klopp's charges managed to see out the closing stages with relative ease as they move up back into third spot.
