Manchester City finished the Premier League season in third spot, after they thumped Watford 5-0 at Vicarage Road on Sunday afternoon.
City broke the deadlock inside the opening four minutes as an un-marked Vincent Kompany headed home Kevin De Bruyne's corner.
Guardiola's charges were in control from the onset and they eventually doubled their lead in the 23rd minute when De Bruyne teed up Sergio Aguero, who calmly slotted past Gomes.
Aguero got his second and City's third in the 36th minute as Leroy Sane race down the line before cutting the ball back for the Argentine to tap home, 0-3.
There was enough time for the visitors to grab a fourth goal before the break as Fernandinho slipped past two challenges before calmly firing past Gomes.
City were not done there, as Gabriel Jesus registered his name on the score-sheet in the 58th minute with a clinical chip.
Guardiola opted for a double change after 63 minutes as Jesus Navas and Bacary Sagna replaced Yaya Toure and Leroy Sane.
Watford nearly pulled a goal back in the 72nd minute but Gael Clichy popped up with a fine clearance off the line.
The proved to be the home side's final chance of the enconter, as Guardiola's charges saw out the remaining stages with relative ease.
