English Premier League
Result: Watford 0-3 Liverpool
Date: 24 November 2018
Venue: Vicarage Road
Liverpool maintained their unbeaten run in the Premier League with an impressive 3-0 win away to Watford on Saturday evening.
Watford thought they had taken the lead after just three minutes but Gerard Deulofeu's strike was chalked off for an offside.
The Reds endured a nervy opening few minutes as goalkeeper Alisson Becker was nearly punished for a poor back pass but Andrew Robertson made the telling block after 10 minutes.
There was a large part of the half that lacked any urgency, which led to a lack of chances on both ends.
Chances eventually fell in the closing stages as Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah forced Ben Foster into a couple good saves.
The Hornets also carved out an opening just before the break as Deulofeu played in Robert Pereyra, who was denied by a fine save from Alisson.
After a quiet start to the second half, the deadlock was eventually broken in the 67th minute as Salah turned home Sadio Mane's cross.
The lead was doubled in the 76th minute as Trent Alexander-Arnold curled home a sublime a free-kick from 25-yards out that left Foster with no chance.
The clash ended on a sour note for the Reds as captain Jordan Henderson was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 85th minute.
There was enough time for Liverpool to bag a third goal as Firmino poked home from close range after Mane's initial effort was saved by Foster.
