Venue: Wembley Stadium
Tottenham Hotspur moved five points clear in fourth place in the Premier League after recording a 2-0 win over Watford, with Dele Alli and Harry Kane getting on the scoresheet.
Spurs broke the deadlock after 15 minutes as Orestis Karnezis' error allowed Christian Eriksen to pick out Alli, who slotted home from 12 yards out.
Watford nearly pulled level on 26 minutes through Andre Grey but Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris produced a save to keep out the striker's effort.
The Hornets picked up the tempo as the half went on, with Richarlison and Grey causing trouble in the final third.
Lloris ensured Spurs went into the break with a one-goal lead as he rushed off his line to deny Richarlison in a one-on-one situation.
Two minutes later, Spurs doubled their lead as Kane finally ended his goal drought by turning home Son's low cross from six yards out
Watford should have pulled a goal back after 70 minutes when Troy Deeney's knockdown found Richarlison, but he blazed over the crossbar from point-blank range.
With the hosts comfortably leading, head coach Mauricio Pochettino introduced the likes of Erik Lamela and Victor Wanyama for the final 15 minutes.
In the end, Spurs saw out the remaining stages with relative ease to claim three points on the night.
