Sergio Aguero netted a brace to inspire Manchester City to a 3-1 win over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
City broke the deadlock in the ninth minute, as Aguero beat his marker with superb touch, before rifling the ball ball past Fabianski from a tight angle.
Swansea leveled matters a few minutes later when a slip from Bacary Sagna allowed Fernando Llorente to slam a volley from the edge of the area. 1-1.
Pep Guardiola's charges dominated the first half but were let down by some poor finishing by the likes of Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne.
Despite City's domination, the score remained 1-1 as the sides entered the halftime break.
The visitors were then awarded a penalty after 63 minutes when De Bruyne was fouled in the box. Aguero stepped up and made no mistake from the spot, 2-1.
Guardiola's charges eventually added a third goal after 76 minutes, as Sterling showed some good skill to lose a marker, before calmly slotting home.
The clash did end on a hour sour note for City, as star player Kevin De Bruyne limped off in the closing stages.
