Date: 30 January 2018

African star Jordan Ayew was on target as Swansea City secured a shock 3-1 win over Arsenal at the Liberty Stadium.
Alfie Mawson nearly opened the scoring for the Swans in the eighth minute, but his right-footed strike could not find the target.
In the 17th minute, Mesut Ozil had a chance for the visitors with a free-kick from a dangerous area but his strike could not dip in time to find the target.
Nacho Monreal did find the breakthrough for the Gunners in the 32nd minute after being sent through by Ozil inside the six-yard box to finish past Lukasz Fabianski, 0-1.
The home side did not waste time to reply as two minutes later Sam Clucas went through on goal and hit a low strike past Petr Cech, 1-1.
Leroy Fer almost gave the Swans the lead five minutes before halftime with a thumping strike from distance, but Cech produced a great save as the sides went into the break level.
Ozil had a chance to restore the Gunners’ lead four minutes before the hour, but the Germany international’s strike from inside the box sailed over the crossbar.
However, Ayew punished Arsene Wenger’s charges two minutes after the hour-mark with a close range finish past Cech following an error from the Arsenal defence.
Second-half substitute Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who was making his debut, had a chance to equalise with 10 minutes remaining but his header was unfortunately snapped up by Fabianski at the near post.
Clucas got his second goal of the match three minutes before time with a close range finish to seal the win for the relegation-threatened outfit.
