Date: 16 March 2015
Venue: Liberty Stadium
Liverpool claimed all three points at Swansea as they edged out the hosts 1-0 in an English Premier League encounter on Monday.
The hosts created a good chance in the 15th minute when Routledge got the ball on the wing and sent a cross in towards the far post. However, Ki was unable to get his headed effort past Martin Skrtel.
The Swans attacked again in the 33rd minute as Routledge beat Can before cutting the ball back for Sigurdsson who got past Allen to fire a shot from the edge of the penalty area just over the top of the bar.
Shelvey came close to opening the scoring shortly before the interval. A low corner kick picked out the former Liverpool midfielder whose first-time shot took a deflection and went past the far post.
The Reds threatened to break the deadlock in the 58th minute. Sturridge sent a through-ball to Sterling who cut it back for Coutinho to fire a shot from inside the area, but the Swansea goalkeeper tipped the shot past the post.
Liverpool found the breakthrough in the 68th minute when a flick-on from Sturridge set up Jordan Henderson who got through the Swansea defence before Amat's failed tackle sent the ball ricocheting off the Reds man and over Fabianski's head for the opening goal.
Sterling had another great chance in the 77th minute. Sturridge chipped a ball over the top for Sterling who beat Fabianski with a volleyed shot, but couldn't find the target.
Earlier, Reading beat Bradford City 3-0 in the FA Cup quarter-finals at the Madejski Stadium.
