African stars Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah were among the goals as Liverpool recorded a 3-0 win over Stoke City at the Best365 Stadium.
The Reds took the lead in the 16th minute as Mane turned his marker before lobbing the ball over Stoke goalkeeper Lee Grant.
The Potters did not sit back as Xherdan Shaqiri was proving to be a real threat down both flanks, although his final ball was not up to par.
Mane had a chance to get his and Liverpool's second five minutes before the haltime break but he struck the upright with only Grant to beat.
Liverpool were lucky not to have been reduced to 10 men before the break when Simon Mignolet brought down Mame Biram Diouf, who was through on goal but the referee only showed the shot-stopper a yellow.
There was a good tempo to the start of the second half, although both sides struggled to carve out chances.
In the 66th minute, Jurgen Klopp opted for a double change as James Milner and Mohamed Salah were introduced.
10 minutes later, the change paid off for Liverpool as Mane turned provider to pick out Salah, who sent a superb volley into the top corner, 0-2.
Salah then rounded off the scoring for the Reds in the 83rd minute with a composed finish into the bottom corner, 0-3.
