Date: 14 April 2018
Venue: St Mary's Stadium
Chelsea kept their top-four hopes alive as they came back from two goals down to beat Southampton 3-2 at St Mary's on Saturday afternoon.
Antonio Conte's men dominated the opening exchanges of the first half, although they struggled to carve out clear-cut chances.
The Saints eventually broke the deadlock on 22 minutes as former Blues defender Ryan Bertrand surged into the box before picking out Dusan Tadic, who slotted into the far corner.
Chelsea nearly leveled matters after 27 minutes but Alvaro Morata sent his header wide of the upright from close range.
It was a stop-start affair for the rest of the half, with both sides committing needless fouls as the Saints led 1-0 at the break.
The hosts managed to double their lead on the hour mark as James Ward-Prowse's free-kick found Jan Bednarek, who side-footed the ball into the bottom corner.
Chelsea pulled a goal back on 68 minutes when substitute Olivier Giroud headed home Marcos Alonso's cross.
Five minutes later, the visitors were level as Eden Hazard collected a low cross from Willian before smashing home from six-yards out.
The turnaround was complete with 12 minutes left when Giroud reacted quickest to loose ball to volley into the bottom corner.
Southampton pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages, but they were unable to carve out another chances as Chelsea held on for the win.
