Liverpool were in a rampant mood, as they thrashed Hull City 5-1 at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds broke the deadlock after 17 minutes as Coutinho did well to pick out Adam Lallana, who slid the ball home into the bottom corner.
The home side were awarded a penalty after 29 minutes when Ahem El Mohamedy handled the ball in the box. The Egyptian was sent off, while James Milner converted the spot-kick, 2-0.
It was one way traffic in the first half and Liverpool netted their third goal in the 36th minute, as Sadio Mane turned well, before firing low effort past Marshall from close range.
The score remained 3-0 to the Reds at the full-time whistle.
Hull reduced the deficit in the 51st minute, as David Meyeler was quickest to a loose ball and volleyed home from 12-yards out.
However, Liverpool restored their three-goal lead two minutes later courtesy of a sublime long range effort from Philippe Coutinho.
The Reds were awarded another penalty after 70 minutes when Daniel Sturridge was brought down. Milner stepped up and bagged his second goal of the match.
With Liverpool comfortably leading, Juren Klopp introduced Emre Can and Marko Grujic for the final 20 minutes, as they saw out the clash with relative ease.
