English Premier League
Result: Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Date: 25 November 2017
Mohamed Salah netted against his former side, as Liverpool and Chelsea played to a 1-1 draw at Anfield on Saturday evening.
After a quiet opening in terms of chances, the Blues carved out a chance on 20 minutes as Eden Hazard cut inside and forced Simon Mignolet into a fine low save.
The Blues went close once again on 31 minutes through Marcos Alonso, who sent a curling free-kick just wide of the upright.
The Reds, meanwhile, were finding it tough to get their game going and they were often chasing the game throughout the half.
However, Liverpool had to wait until the 41st minute for their first meaningful chance, as Salah sent a curling strike inches wide of Thibaut Courtois' goal.
The score remained goalless at the break.
The Reds looked livelier in the second half and they eventually broke the deadlock in the 64th minute, as Philippe Coutinho played in Salah, who calmly slotted past Courtois.
Antonio Conte responded by introducing Cesc Fabregas for Tiémoué Bakayoko with 15 minutes remaining in the tie.
The Blues managed to level matters on 84 minutes, as Willian's cross-cum-shot sailed over Mignolet and into the back of the net, 1-1.
That proved to be the final chance of the half, as Liverpool and Chelsea settled for a share of the spoils.
